Mastery is never an accident, it is the sum of these fifteen disciplines practised together. 1. Build a Structured, Holistic Program Champions do not improvise their way to the top. They follow a structured, holistic program built on a matrix of the exact skills they need. Think of how Toastmasters develops a speaker step by step, or how M.S. Dhoni and his side approached an IPL season, every required capability mapped and developed deliberately. Map your skill matrix Before you train, list the skills your goal actually demands. When you can see the whole map, you stop practising randomly and start practising on purpose. 2. Phase the Process and Pace Yourself You cannot master everything at once. Phase the journey into stages and pace yourself through them. In sales I teach the POGO method, and the principle behind it is simple, begin with the end in mind and work backwards into stages you can actually complete.
