Kodo, kutki and the collectives

Dindori's most interesting economic story is also its most local. It is the kind of asset a better-connected district would have built a small economy around. Trained guides. An interpretation centre. School and college field visits. A scheduled stop for travellers who currently drive straight past on the Jabalpur road.

The distance between what this district holds and what it earns from it is the honest frame for everything else. The people who would close that gap are the same people who need capability work. That is what the day is for. Naming what they already do, then extending it to the places it has not reached. Speaking to a buyer who is deliberately talking past them. Holding a price when the person opposite has more practice at arguing. Deciding as a group and then having the decision survive contact with the person who disagreed. Office-bearers and members sit together for this, because the gap that most needs closing is usually between the two.
